Petuaria Express X55 - get it now!
Petuaria Express - from 26 April there's a whole new way to get to Hull.
Our brand new Service X55 will be an express service from Gilberdyke, Newport, Elloughton and Brough straight to the heart of Hull.
This new fast service will run every day Monday-Friday, with 10 journeys a day in each direction. Buses will run around Hull city centre, rather than going straight to the Interchange, so if you're travelling into town you don't need to walk as far. Peak time journeys will go round a specially extended city centre route, past the Guildhall and Hull College - so this bus is ideal for commuters and college students.
The Petuaria Express X55 stops at all stops between Gilberdyke, Newport, Elloughton and Brough (including all stops in Elloughton and Brough that are currently used by Service 155), and then goes direct into Hull down the A63 and Clive Sullivan Way, via Hull Royal Infirmary. This cuts a massive 13 minutes off the Brough-Hull journey time of the popular Service 155.
Travel in comfort on our brand new single deck buses which will be used on the route, with special 'Petuaria Express' livery. See below for a sneak preview of what the buses will look like.
There will be a flat fare of £5 for a day return to Hull from Gilberdyke, Newport, Elloughton and Brough. Weekly tickets are only £20.50 - compare that with the cost of fuel and parking, or even the train, and see how much you can save. You can use your return or weekly ticket on Service 155 on the way back if this bus service is at a more convenient time for the return leg of your journey. Single fares are also available.
If you live in Brough or Elloughton a leaflet with a fantastic money-off voucher will be coming through your door within the next few weeks, or pick up a copy of the new timetable from your local shop or post office - it should be available a week before the service starts. EYMS will also be at the Petuaria Centre in Brough on the morning of Saturday 24 April, so come and see us to find out more about the bus service, pick up a timetable or collect a money-off voucher.
In the meantime why not check out the Petuaria Express X55 timetable.
In case you were wondering, Petuaria was the name of the Roman settlement which was located where Brough now stands!
