Service Information

20/06/2010 - Services 121 and 744

The continuing roadworks in Bridlington have been causing delays for Services 121 and 744.  To try to keep these buses running to time there will be a temporary change of route in Bridlington from Sunday 20 June.

Buses travelling towards Driffield from Bridlington will go from Bridlington Bus Station via Promenade, Trinity Road, Wellington Street, Quay Road and St John's Avenue before rejoining the normal route at Bessingby Road.  This means that 4 stops will not be served.  These are: Queen Street, Hilderthorpe Road (outside Hilderthorpe pub), Hilderthorpe Road (outside the Coachman pub) and Hilderthorpe Road (outside National Tyres).  If you normally board or alight the bus at one of these stops please use an alternative stop instead, for example the stop at Morrisons.

Not all buses will take this alternative route - it will only be used by buses travelling through Bridlington between 2pm and 6pm daily.  This is when there is most traffic congestion and when delays are occuring.  Buses travelling through Bridlington outside of these times will use their normal route.  Also, buses travelling from Driffield into Bridlington will not be affected.

We do not yet know how long this temporary route change will be in place for, but when the roadworks finish and the route is able to return to normal we will let you know via this website and posters on the buses.

For more details, or to find the location of your nearest alternative stop, please ring BusCall.
