Lost kitty!

Published on

A family were enjoying the last day of their holiday in Scarborough, and used our Service 10 to get back to the train station to catch their train home to Lancashire.

As they waited in the train station, six year old Ella-May was devastated to realise she had accidentally left her teddy, 'Kitty', on the bus, which had now driven off.

Ella-May was distraught, as the teddy was a gift from her uncle, who she doesn't see very often.  Her mother said: ""There were so many tears. She was absolutely heartbroken. I just thought "Oh my god, she's never going to get this back."

With their train about to leave from the station, they didn't have time for much action, but walking out to the bus stop they were astonished to see their bus return, and the driver get out and bring the teddy across to them.

"We were stood outside waiting when the driver got out of the bus with the teddy - she was absolutely gobsmacked", says Ella-May's mum.  "It meant the world to her, I want to thank him very, very much. He's made a little girl very, very happy and saved me a lot of tears and upset."

The teddy was returned just before they had to board their train, so just in the nick of time!

Here's Ella-May on her train journey home, reunited with 'Kitty'.
