Sad journey

Published on

We've received a letter from a Mrs W of Hull, who was making a sad journey to attend a funeral service.

Mrs W writes that she was travelling to the crematorium on Chanterlands Avenue on our new Service 23, and hadn't used this particular bus before.

"At the Interchange the driver was unable to get into the correct "slot", so came looking for his passengers," she writes.  "This was the first time I had made this journey, so was unsure of the stop I needed.  Without being asked, the driver told me when it was time for me to get off the bus, [where the pedestrian entrance to the crematorium was], and gave me full details of where to catch a return bus when the service was over.

This was extremely thoughtful and considerate of him, and I would like to pass on my appreciation of his kindness."
