Puddle leads to praise

Published on

It is not often we receive calls of thanks from people who have been soaked by a bus driving through a puddle, but this is an exception!

Mrs A of Scarborough rang to say that she was walking along the pavement when one of our buses had to swerve through a puddle to avoid a speeding car, which led to the lady being soaked.

However, she rang not to complain, but to praise the driver, who stopped to check she was ok and to apologise for wetting her.  She thought this was very thoughtful, and was impressed enough to ring us to tell us how well she thought the driver had done.

Thank you, Mrs A, we hope you weren't too soaked!  We have passed on your comments to the driver involved and thanked him for his excellent actions - EYMS
