Bus fares are not set using distance travelled alone. There are many factors that can influence how much fares cost, including the mileage covered by the bus, the popularity of the route, whether the service is subsidised by a local authority or other body, the type of area and population density along the route, and the availability to passengers of other modes of transport, such as rail links.
Don’t forget that everyone can get money off single and return fares using our 10% Discount Card.
