Becoming a bus driver

How do I become a bus driver?

Bus driving is a great job if you like meeting new people, and would like to get full training, excellent pay, pension and other benefits.

To apply to drive for us you need a pleasant personality, excellent customer care skills, and a full UK car driving licence. You don’t necessarily need a PCV (bus) licence, as we will give you all the training you require, although we do also accept applications from current PCV licence holders.

We have depots across East Yorkshire and North Yorkshire, so, depending on vacancies, you can ask to be based in Hull, Scarborough, Beverley, Bridlington, Elloughton, Hornsea, Pocklington or Withernsea.

Check out our Careers pages for details of our latest vacancies. If we don’t have any vacancies, you can send through an application form and we’ll keep it on file for future.

You can also find out more about training opportunities on our EYMS Bus & Coach Training pages.

EYMS is an equal opportunities employer.
