Changes to buses in East Yorkshire

 Due to cuts by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, some journeys and services that are not well used will change from 1 April 2017.

The following services will be affected - click on your service to find out more and see the new timetable:

  • Service 121: Hull - Beverley - Driffield - Bridlington - Scarborough.  Certain early morning journeys will change.
  • Service 142: Beverley - Cherry Burton - Driffield. Sunday services will no longer run.
  • Service 155: Goole - Howden - Gilberdyke.  Sunday services will no longer run.
  • Service 160: Blacktoft - Howden - Goole.  This service will no longer run.
  • Service 180: Hessle - Cottingham - Beverley.  Sunday buses will no longer run, and an early morning journey from Cottingham will no longer run.
  • Service 195/196/X36: Pocklington - York via villages.  Bus times and days will change.
  • Service 198: Pocklington shopper bus.  This service will no longer run.
  • Service 199: Pocklington shopper bus.  Journey times will change.
  • Service 241: Aldbrough - Beverley.  This service will no longer run.
  • Service 361: Goole - Scunthorpe.  Sunday services will no longer run.
  • Service 400/401: Goole - Selby.  Sunday services will no longer run.
  • Service 506: Bridlington - West Hill.  Sunday services will no longer run.
  • Service 508: Bridlington - New Pasture Lane.  Sunday services will no longer run.
  • Service 517: Bridlington - New Pasture Lane.  One evening journey will no longer run.
  • Service 520: Beverley - Swinemoor.  Sunday services will no longer run.
  • Service 522: Beverley - Normandy Avenue.  Sunday services will no longer run.
  • Service 523: Beverley - Molescroft.  Sunday services will no longer run.
  • Services S1/S2/S3: Market Weighton shopper bus.  These services will be replaced by a new service.

 

  • Service 121: Hull - Beverley - Driffield - Bridlington - Scarborough

From 1 April there will be changes to several Service 121 early morning journeys.

The bus from Driffield to Scarborough at 6.53am will now start in Bridlington.  This means the first bus from Driffield Monday-Saturday will now be at 7.38am.

The bus from Nafferton to Hull at 6.28am now starts at Beverley Bus Station.  This means the first bus from Nafferton Monday-Saturday will now be at 6.55am.

The Sunday bus from Leconfield to Hull at 7.04am will now start at Beverley Bus Station.

The Saturday/school holidays bus from Bridlington to Driffield at 8.15am will no longer run.

All other Service 121 journeys will remain the same with no changes.

  • Service 142: Beverley - Cherry Burton - Driffield.

From 1 April the Service 142 Sunday buses will no longer run.  The Monday-Saturday journeys will continue as normal, with no changes.

  • Service 155: Goole - Howden - Gilberdyke

From 1 April Service 155 buses will no longer run on a Sunday.

Servies 153 and X57 will continue to run on Sundays as normal, and Service 155 Monday-Saturday journeys will not change.

  • Service 160: Blacktoft - Howden - Goole

From 1 April Service 160 will no longer run.

 

  • Service 180: Hessle - Cottingham - Beverley

From 1 April there will be changes to one Monday-Saturday journey, and Sunday journeys.

The Monday-Saturday Service 180 journey which leaves Cottingham for Beverley at 7.19am will no longer run.

The Service 180 will no longer run on Sundays.  Please use Service X47 to get between Beverley and Cottingham on Sundays instead.

There are no changes to Service X80.

  • Service 195/196/X36: Pocklington - York via villages

From 1 April Services 195, 196 and X36 will change.

The Service 195/196 journeys will change, and will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

We will no longer run any Service X36 journeys.

  • Service 198: Pocklington shopper bus

From 1 April the Service 198 Pocklington shopper bus will no longer run.

(Please note there will be a new bus named Service 198, but this is a new Market Weighton shopper bus).

The Service 199 Pocklington shopper bus will still run - see below.

 

  • Service 199: Pocklington shopper bus

From 1 April the Service 199 Pocklington shopper bus will change.

See the new Service 199 timetable, or pick up a copy from the Pocela Centre in Pocklington or the Bus Point in York Rail Station.

 

  • Service 241: Aldbrough - Beverley

From 1 April Service 241 will no longer run.

 

  • Service 361: Goole - Scunthorpe

From 1 April Service 361 will no longer run on Sundays.  Services 360 & 361 will continue to run Monday-Saturday, with no changes.

  • Services 400/401: Goole - Selby

From 1 April these Sunday services will no longer run.

 

  • Service 506: Bridlington - West Hill.

From 1 April Service 506 will no longer run on a Sunday.  Monday-Saturday journeys will continue as normal.

Please use Service 121 from Hilderthorpe Road instead.

  • Service 508: Bridlington - New Pasture Lane

From 1 April Sunday Service 508 will no longer run.

Don't forget that Service 121 continues to serve Fortyfoot, Marton Road and Scarborough Road.  You can pick up a copy of the Service 121 timetable from Bridlington Bus Station or Bridlington Tourist Information Centre.

 

  • Service 517: Bridlington - New Pasture Lane

From 1 April the Service 517 bus which leaves Bridlington Bus Station at 5.50pm will no longer run.  All other Service 517 joruneys will continue to run as normal, with no changes.

  • Service 520: Swinemoor buses

From 1 April the Swinemoor Service 520 bus will no longer run on a Sunday. 

Please use Service 121 from Swinemoor Road on a Sunday instead.

The Service 520 Monday-Saturday journeys will not change.

  • Service 522: Normandy Avenue buses

From 1 April the Normandy Avenue Service 522 Sunday bus will no longer run.

Please use Service X46/X47 from Victoria Road instead.

  • Service 523: Molescroft buses

From 1 April the Molescroft Service 523 Sunday bus will no longer run.

Please use Service 121 from Driffield Road or Molescroft Road instead.

  • Services S1/S2/S3: Market Weighton shopper buses

From 1 April the Service S1/S2/S3 Market Weighton shopper buses will no longer run, and they will be replaced by a new bus called Service 198.
