Buses to York
From the end of January we're improving buses in the York area.
Services 743, 744 & 746 will be replaced by new Services 45 & 46.
This means that Market Weighton residents will get direct buses through to Driffield and Bridlington, making it easier to travel up to the coast for a day out or through to Driffield on market day. The Service 46 route through Market Weighton will use Londesborough Road to the junction near the Griffin pub, and then will turn right and out via York Road to the A1079 (and in the other direction for buses going the other way). Any short journeys that start at Sancton Road will follow the normal X46 route through Market Weighton.
There will be new links to the University of York site, including from Dunnington, Driffield and Bridlington, making it an easier commute for students and staff.
See the new 45 & 46 timetable - the new services start from 27 January.
The Wicstun Express Service X4 buses (Brough - Elloughton - South Cave - Market Weighton direct to York) will change from Monday 28 January. Following requests from villagers, these buses will now go via North Newbald too, giving residents of this village links to Market Weighton, York, South Cave, Elloughton and Brough. To allow the buses time to get in and out of North Newbald the journey times will change slightly.
See the new Wicstun Express timetable.
Service 747 will also be changing. From 28 January the late afternoon short journey from Full Sutton Prison to York will no longer run.
See the new Service 747 timetable.
To find out more about these changes, or to pick up a new timetable leaflet, come along to our Pocklington and Market Weighton bus surgeries.

If you live in Dunnington, Pocklington or Market Weighton we will be putting a copy of the new Service 45 & 46 timetable through your door near the end of January. Residents of Brough, Elloughton, South Cave and North Newbald will be getting a copy of the new Wicstun Express Service X4 timetable through their letterbox.
