December 2006

  • 21st the last two Enviro's have arrived, YX56 HVG (350) and YX56 HVI (352).
  • Two of the Enviro's have arrived, YX56 HVF (349) and YX56 HVH (351).
  • Bus 540 (G616 OTV) and 541 (G617 OTV) have both been sold.
  • Bus 894 (F610 GVO) is now being converted to open top.
  • The conversion of bus 895 (F611 GVO) to open top is now complete and is awaiting painting.
  • Bus 708 now has the registration it was originally going to have, YX06 CXJ which has replaced YX06 FET.
  • Four new Enviro 200's are due this month. They will be fleet 349 (YX56 HVF), 350 (YX56 HVG), 351 (YX56 HVH) and 352 (YX56 HVJ).

November 2006

  • 19th - sees the launch of the new Volvo B7RLE Wright Eclipse single deck buses on the 115 service.
  • Coach 33 has been repainted into coaching colours.
  • The last two new Volvo B7RLE Wright Eclipse single deck buses have arrived. They are YX56 FHN (345) and YX56 FHO (346).
  • 2 more of the new Volvo B7RLE Wright Eclipse single deck buses have arrived. They are YX56 FHP (fleet 347) and YX56 FHR (fleet 348).
  • 2 of the new Volvo B7RLE Wright Eclipse single deck buses have arrived. They are YX56 FHL (fleet 343) and YX56 FHM (fleet 344).
  • F611 GVO (895) is currently being converted to open top.
  • Bus 459 (T459 JRH) and bus 460 (T460 JRH) have been renumbered 72 and 73, and transferred to Whittles.

October 2006

  • Bus 641 (E480 UOF) has been sold.
  • Bus 639 (E474 SON) has been sold.
  • Bus 839 (VDV 139S) has been sold.
  • Finglands Volvo B10M Citybus 1708 (F608 GVO) has been transferred to EYMS and renumbered 892 pending a roof removal to become an open top vehicle.
  • Finglands Volvo B10M Citybus 1709 (F609 GVO) has been transferred to EYMS and renumbered 893 pending a roof removal to become an open top vehicle.
  • Finglands Volvo B10M Citybus 1706 (F610 GVO) has been transferred to EYMS and renumbered 894 pending a roof removal to become an open top vehicle.
  • Finglands Volvo B10M Citybus 1707 (F611 GVO) has been transferred to EYMS and renumbered 895 pending a roof removal to become an open top vehicle.

September 2006

  • Bus 456 (R456 PRH) has been sold.
  • Buses 596 (N596 BRH), 597 (N597 BRH), 601 (N601 BRH) and 602 (N602 BRH) have been delicenced and are being prepared for transfer to the Finglands fleet where they will be renumbered 1787, 1788, 1789 and 1790.
  • Bus 460 (T460 JRH) has been delicenced to be prepared for transfer to Whittles.
  • Bus 457 (R457 PRH) has been sold.
  • Bus 670 has now been registered 80 EYC and coach 40 is now registered 834 EYD.
  • Bus 454 (R454 PRH) has been sold.

August 2006

  • Bus 36 (B192 CGA) and bus 545 (JTY 404X) have been sold.
  • Buses 530 (A530 OKH), 531 (A531 OKH), 532 (A532 OKH), 533 (B533 WAT), 534 (B534 WAT),  535 (B535 WAT) and 536 (C536 DAT) have all been sold.
  • Finglands Volvo B10M Citybus 1713 (G613 OTV) has been transferred to EYMS and renumbered 539.
  • Finglands Volvo B10M Citybus 1716 (G616 OTV) has been transferred to EYMS and renumbered 540.
  • Finglands Volvo B10M Citybus 1717 (G617 OTV) has been transferred to EYMS and renumbered 541.
  • Finglands Volvo B10M Citybus 1710 (F242 MBA) has been transferred to EYMS and renumbered 542.
  • Finglands Volvo B10M Citybus 1718 (G618 OTV) has been transferred to EYMS and renumbered 896 pending a roof removal to become an open top vehicle.
  • Bus 289 (S289 RAG) and bus 291 (S291 RAG) have been sold.
  • Bus 670 (YY52 LCK) has been painted in the old style EYMS livery to celebrate EYMS's 80th anniversary. It will also be re-registered 80 EYC, with coach 40 being re-registered 834 EYD.
  • On loan to EYMS for a while is a Volvo B12M Jonckeere Mistral. Its registration is SG02 VCM and whilst at EYMS is will be classed as fleet number 112.

July 2006

  • 28th - loan coach 111 (KE51 WUP) has gone back to Burnley.
  • 23rd - Mini bus 449 (R449 PRH), 450 (R450 PRH) and 451 (R451 PRH) have been transferred to Whittle's and renumbered 69, 70 and 71 respectively.
  • 23rd - bus 660 (X585 XKH) and 661 (X584 XKH) have been transferred to Finglands and renumbered 1759 and 1760 respectively.
  • Bus 539 (A239 GHN) has been sold.
  • Coach 146 which is currently on loan to Whittle's will be transferred there permanently in the near future.
  • 5 of the 6 new Plaxton Primo's have now arrived. Fleet numbers 496, 497 and 498 will be launched in Bridlington on the 18th July.
  • On loan to EYMS for a while is a 53 seater Plaxton Paragon Volvo. Its registration is KE51 WUP and whilst at EYMS is will be classed as fleet number 111.

June 2006

  • 27th - another of the new Plaxton Primo's has arrived. Its registration number is YX06 HVK and its fleet number is 497.
  • Bus 660 and 661 are currently being painted into Finglands livery and will be transferred there when ready.
  • 20th - one of the new Plaxton Primo's has arrived. Its registration number is YX06 HVJ and its fleet number is 496.
  • Buses 82 (TJI 8782), 638 (E473 SON) and 640 (E476 SON) have all been sold.
  • Bus 146 (E52 WAG) has been sent to Whittle's on loan for about 6 to 8 weeks.
  • Bus 660 has had its registration changed from 546 EYB to X585 XKH.
  • Bus 661 has had its registration changed from 46 EYB to X584 XKH.
  • Training bus 9910 has had its registration changed from M420 RRN to 46 EYB.
  • Training bus 9911 has had its registration changed from M421 RRN to 546 EYB.
  • Training bus 9912 has had its registration changed from M422 RRN to 665 EYL.

  • EYMS have taken delivery of six new Volvo Wrightbus Eclipse Gemini double beck buses. They are fleet 708 (YX06 FET), 709 (YX06 CXK), 710 (YX06 CXL), 711 (YX06 CXM), 712 (YX06 CXN) and 713 (YX06 CXO).
  • Buses 16 (A112 EPA), 80 (C683 JGR), 83 (TJI 8783) and 85 (A7 GGT) have all been sold.

March 2006

  • 9th - Coach 49 (A18 EYC) is now painted white ready for its Grand UK Holidays livery.
  • 3rd - Buses 600 (A10 EYD), 601 (N601 BRH) and 637 (R782 SOY) have returned from Finglands.

February 2006

  • 22nd - coach 46 has had its registration changed from YX02 JFY to A19 EYC.
  • Bus 936 (EPH 229V) has been sold.
  • Ancillary vehicle 9909 (IIL 2155)  has gone to Finglands permanently, 9901 (IIL 2157) and 9906 (IIL 2159) have both been sold.
  • 2nd - Buses 600 (A10 EYD), 601 (N601 BRH) and 637 (R782 SOY) have gone on loan to Finglands until around the 26th February.

January 2006

  • Buses 6 (A415 TAG), 30 (B114 GRR) and 84 (B263 KPF) have been sold.

December 2005

  • Buses 537 (C537 DAT), 540 (B249 NVN) and 541 (B250 NVN) have been sold.
  • Bus 86 (DDZ 236) has been sold.
  • Bus 935 (EPH 223V) has been sold.
  • Coach 89 (L630 PSF), 90 (P555 GSM) and 364 (M869 NRH) have all been sold.
  • The third brand new coach has arrived. It is a Volvo B12B Panther, fleet number 56, registration number YX55 FVB.
  • 14th - EYMS have just taken delivery of another brand new coach. It is a Volvo B12B Panther, fleet number 55, registration number YX55 FVA.
  • 9th - EYMS have just taken delivery of a brand new coach. It is a Volvo B12B Panther, fleet number 57, registration number YX55 FVC.

November 2005

  • 28th - EYMS have a demonstrator bus for a short while. It is an Optare Tempo, fleet number 110 and registration number YJ55 BLX.
  • Bus 934 and 937 have been sold. See the Where Did The Buses Go? page for more details.
  • Vintage bus 100 has had its registration changed from KSU 381 to SS 7376, which was the very first registration plate it carried.
  • Coach 89 has had its registration changed from 794 EYD to L630 PSF.
  • Coach 90 has had its registration changed from 665 EYL to P555 GSM.
  • Coach 364 has had its registration changed from 1918 KH to M869 NRH.
  • Bus 218 (M418 RRN) and 223 (M423 RRN) have been transferred to Whittles and bus 224 (M424 RRN) and 225 (M425 RRN) have come back in their place.
  • Bus 452 (R452 PRH) and 453 (R453 PRH) have now been transferred to Whittles.
  • 2nd - EYMS have a demonstrator bus for a short while. It is a Mercedes Citaro, registration BX05 UWG, temporary fleet number 109 and will be used on the Park and Ride service.

October 2005

  • Bus 702 to 705 are to be used on the X46 service.

September 2005

  • Bus 218, 223 and 227 have been delicenced to have seatbelts fitted.
  • EYMS have had six new Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse double deck buses delivered. They are fleet number 702 (YX55 DHJ), 703 (YX55 DHK), 704 (YX55 DHL), 705 (YX55 DHM), 706 (YX55 DHN) and 707 (YX55 DHO).
  • Bus 452 (R452 PRH) and 453 (R453 PRH) are being painted white ready for transfer to Whittle's.
  • Coach 61 has had its registration changed from A6 EYC to K161 TKH and has been sold. See the Where Did The Buses Go? page for more details.
  • Coach 62 has had its registration changed from A7 EYC to L62 VAG and has been sold. See the Where Did The Buses Go? page for more details.

  • Coach 359 has had its registration changed from A9 EYC to F171 JKH and has been sold. See the Where Did The Buses Go? page for more details.
  • Coach 45 (Y445 XAT) has had its registration number changed to A9 EYC (which was on coach 359).

  • Bus 220 (M420 RRN) has been renumbered 9910 after conversion to a training vehicle.
  • Bus 221 (M421 RRN) has been renumbered 9911 after conversion to a training vehicle.
  • Bus 222 (M422 RRN) has been renumbered 9912 after conversion to a training vehicle.
  • Training vehicle 9910 has been renumbered 9901 to make way for the three new training vehicles.

June 2005

  • 8th - Bus 448 and ancillary vehicle 8836 have been donated to the Tsunami Appeal.
  • Bus 696 is now in the new service 105 livery.

May 2005

  • Bus 220, 221 and 222 have been delicenced for conversion to training vehicles.
  • Bus 18, 88, 145, 543 and 544 have been sold. See the Where Did The Buses Go? page for more details.
  • Bus 672, 673, 674 and 675 have been transferred to Scarborough for the 128 service.

April 2005

  • EYMS have had six new Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse double deck buses delivered. They are fleet number 696 (YX05 EOO), 697 (YX05 EOP), 698 (YX05 EOR), 699 (YX05 EOS), 700 (YX05 EOT) and 701 (YX05 EOU).
  • Coach 91 has been re-registered back to L567 FND from A19 EYC.

March 2005

  • Coach 44 has now got the registration EYH 876 which has been taken off coach 146. Coach 146 has now got the registration E52 WAG.
  • Coach 43 has now got the registration A14 EYC, which was from coach 64.

February 2005

  • Coach 362 (J730 KRH) has been sold to Direct Coach Sales.

December 2004

  • Fleet 338 (YX54 FWL) has now arrived at EYMS and is painted in the new 701 Park and Ride livery.
  • Coach 64 has been scrapped.

November 2004

  • Fleet 339 (YX54 FWM) has now arrived at EYMS.
  • EYMS are expecting delivery of five brand new Volvo B7RLE/Wright Eclipse single deck buses sometime in November. Their registration numbers will be YX54 FWL (fleet 338), YX54 FWM (fleet 339). YX54 FWN (fleet 340), YX54 FWO (fleet 341) and YX54 FWP (fleet 342).

October 2004

  • 27th - Coach 87 has been sold.
  • 19th - Two ex-demonstrator Volvo Merit buses with Wrightbus Cadet bodies have just been delivered to EYMS. Their registrations are BU03 RTX and FJ53 LZW and their fleet numbers will be 336 and 337 respectively.
  • Coach 42 has now got the registration 334 EYL which has been taken off coach 88. Coach 88 has now got the registration D637 MSJ.
  • Coach 41 has now got the registration 787 EYC which has been taken off coach 87. Coach 87 has now got the registration A607 UGD.
  • Coach 39 has now got the registration A8 EYC which has been taken off coach 362. Coach 362 has now got the registration J730 KRH.
  • EYMS have just taken delivery of a new coach. It is a Volvo B12M with Berkhof Axial bodywork. Its registration number is DC54 EYC and its fleet number is 54.
  • 11th - EYMS have received a demonstrator vehicle on loan for around a week. It is an Optare Solo, its temporary fleet number is 108 and its registration number is YN04 XZB.
  • Coach 40 has now got the registration 80 EYC which has been taken off coach 145. Coach 145 has now got the registration C967 JAT, pending disposal.

September 2004

  • Bus 258 has been scrapped.

August 2004

  • Bus 435 (F435 GAT) has been transferred to Whittle's as a spare vehicle.

July 2004

  • 16th - EYMS have received a demonstrator vehicle on loan for around three weeks. It is a Alexander Dennis (Transbus) Enviro 300, its temporary fleet number is 107 and its registration number is SN53 KKZ.
  • Bus 656 has been scrapped.

June 2004

  • Coach 147 has been sold to Deerhill Coach Company.
  • Coach 148 has been sold to Tomlinsons Travel.
  • 4th - EYMS has received an Irisbus Agora Line demo bus for a short period of time (to 11th June). Its registration number is OW03 FXG and its temporary fleet number will be 106.
  • EYMS has kindly received a picture of ex fleet 802 in its current livery from its new owner, David Griffiths, in the Czech Republic.

May 2004

  • EYMS has now received the two new vehicles. They are both be Dennis Darts, one at 10.7m (335) and the other at 8.8m (495). Fleet 335 has a registration of YX04 JVW and fleet 495 has a registration of YX04 JVY. They are currently both white.
  • EYMS will soon receive a second hand Dennis Dart SLF with a Plaxton Pointer body. Its registration number will be Y213 HWJ and its fleet number will be 334.

April 2004

  • EYMS have acquired a second hand Dennis Dart. Its registration is T284 PVM and its fleet number will be 333.
  • Coach 52 now has the registration mark 39 EYD and coach 147 now has the registration mark G717 TAG.

March 2004

  • Coach 364 will have its current registration (647 JOE) transfered back to Finglands for coach 370 and will be given the registration 1918 KH. Coach 147 and 148 will probably receive their original plates back.
  • Coach 52 will have its registration changed from T335 AFX to 39 EYD very soon.
  • Coach 51 has had its registration changed from W334 UEL to A1 EYD.
  • Bus 517 and 995 have been sold to Continental Coaches.
  • Fleet 357 has had its registration number (3277 KH) transferred to fleet 38 (was V838JAT) and has been given the new registration plate of C666 DJA.
  • Finglands Volvo B10M dual purpose buses 1424, 1425, 1426 and 1427 (M424 RRN, M425 RRN, M426 RRN  and M427 RRN) have been transferred to EYMS and renumbered 224, 225, 226 and 227. They are currently delicenced, awaiting painting.
  • Bus 938 has been sold to the Selnec Preservation Society.
  • Bus 514 has been sold to Continental Coaches.
  • Bus 519, 931 and 933 have been sold to Carl Ireland.

February 2004

  • EYMS are shortly to receive two second hand coaches. Their details will be as follows :- W334 UEL = fleet 51 and T335 AFX = fleet 52. They are both Volvo B10M's with Berkhof Axial bodies.
  • Bus 512 and 796 have been sold to PVS (Barnsley) Limited.
  • Bus 513 has been sold to Continental Coaches.

January 2004

  • EYMS have acquired six second hand Volvo Olympian double deck vehicles. Their fleet numbers and registration numbers are 690 - P549 EFL, 691 - P557 EFL, 692 - P558 EFL, 693 - P565 EFL, 694 - P574 EFL, and 695 - P577 EFL.

December 2003

  • Bus 525, 795 and 917 have been sold to PVS (Barnsley) Limited.
  • Bus 22 has been scrapped after the fire at the Pocklington depot destroyed it.
  • 1st - EYMS have received three more of the batch of 12 new double deck Volvo buses. They are fleet 685 (YX53 AOL), 686 (YX53 AOM) and 688 (YX53 AOO).
  • Ancillary vehicle fleet number 8801 has been sold but the registration 897 EYX has been retained and transferred to bus 897.

November 2003

  • 29th/30th - EYMS have received three more of the batch of 12 new double deck Volvo buses. They are fleet 682 (YX53 AOH), 683 (YX53 AOJ) and 684 (YX53 AOK).
  • 27th - EYMS have received two more of the batch of 12 new double deck Volvo buses. They are fleet 678 (YX53 AOD) and 681 (YX53 AOG).
  • 25th - EYMS have taken delivery of two of the expected 12 new double deck Volvo buses. The two that have arrived are fleet 679 (YX53 AOE) and 680 (YX53 AOF) in the fleet number sequence 678 to 689. They are almost identical to the Volvo vehicles that arrived last September except these have 74 seats.
  • Bus 401 (YX03 NHB) and bus 402 (YX03 NHC) are both Iveco Flexibuses belonging to East Riding Council. They will be operated on contract by EYMS.
  • Bus 571 has been sold to Liverpool City Coaches. The registration number A1 EYD has been retained by EYMS giving bus 571 the number of K485 UAG when it was sold.

September 2003

  • A second hand Volvo B10M Citybus double deck vehicle has been purchased. This vehicle had been driven under a low bridge and has no roof. EYMS is to convert it to an open-top vehicle with a fleet number of 897. When taxed its registration number will be 897 EYX.
  • Bus 920 has been sold to PVS (Barnsley) Limited.
  • Coach 352 has been sold to Direct Coach Sales.
  • Bus 260 has been sold to Stafford Bus Centre Limited.
  • Bus 256 has been sold to Stafford Bus Centre Limited.
  • Coach 25 has been sold to Direct Coach Sales.

August 2003

  • Bus 670 (YY52 LCK) was on loan in the Isle of Man from 19/8/03 for one week.
  • Bus 730 has been sold to PVS (Barnsley) Limited.
  • Bus 407 has been sold to Sureline.

June 2003

  • Bus 301 has had its registration changed from F301 JNC to 152 FRH.
  • Bus 302 has had its registration changed from F302 JNC to 165 DKH.
  • Bus 658 has had its registration changed from W658 WKH to 8225 KH.
  • Coach 60 has had its registration changed from 8225 KH to EYC 73.
  • Coach 37 has been repainted into the new Frodingham Coaches livery.
  • Coach 47 has had its registration changed from YX51 AXM to A16 EYC.
  • Coach 48 has had its registration changed from YX51 AXN to A17 EYC.
  • Coach 49 has had its registration changed from YX51 AXO to A18 EYC.
  • Transit van 8826 (P724 HHE) has been sold.
  • Coach 5, 15 and 21 have been sold to West Kent Coach Sales.
  • Coach 55, 56, 57 and 353 have been sold to Volvo Bus Limited.
  • A new coach has been bought. It is a Volvo B12M with a Berkhof Axial 50 body, its fleet number is 50 and its registration is DC03 EYC.

May 2003

  • Coach 1 has been sold to West Kent Coach Sales.
  • Bus 520, 523 and 821 have been sold to PVS (Barnsley) Limited.
  • Bus 932 has been sold to Safe Communities East Riding for the Haltemprice Crime Prevention Panel.

April 2003

  • Bus 659 has had its registration changed from W659 WKH to WLT 694.
  • Coach 353 has had its registration changed from WLT 694 to A403 HRJ.
  • Coach 91 has had its registration changed from L567 FND to A19 EYC.
  • 20th Coach 37 has been transferred from National Express work to general coaching and has had its registration changed from P837 XAG to A15 EYC.
  • EYMS are selling some vehicles that are no longer required.

March 2003

  • Leyland National training bus 9907 (OAT 822V) has been sold.
  • Mini bus 442 has been sold to PVS (Barnsley) Limited.

February 2003

  • Another Metrobus has been transferred from Finglands Coachways. Its registration is E474 SON and its new fleet number will be 639 (Finglands 1727).
  • 19th - Two more Metrobuses has been transferred from Finglands Coachways. Their registrations are E476 SON and E480 UOF. Their new fleet numbers will be 640 (Finglands 1728) and 641 (Finglands 1730).
  • 14th - A Metrobus has been transferred from Finglands Coachways. Its registration is E473 SON and its new fleet number will be 638 (Finglands 1726).
  • 11th - EYMS have taken delivery of a demonstrator bus for approximately two weeks. It is a MAN Myllennium with a registration of YR52 YSZ and has been allocated the fleet number 104.

January 2003

  • A Volvo Olympian (R782 SOY) has been acquired from Armchair Passenger Transport and will be fleet number 637.
  • No vehicle allocation changes this month.

  • Ancillary vehicle 8827 (M335 GNH) has been sold.

  • Two Mercedes single deck buses have been transferred from Finglands Coachways. Their details are, fleet number 1428 (renumbered to 331) registration number V428 DNB and fleet number 1429 (renumbered to 332) registration number V429 DNB.
  • Bus 592 (N592 BRH), 598 (N598 BRH) and 603 (N603 BRH) have been transferred to Finglands Coachways in Manchester.
  • Vehicle 257 (IIL 2157) the Leyland National single deck has been converted to a training vehicle and renumbered 9910.
  • Mini bus 443 and Bristol Vrt 791 have been sold to PVS (Barnsley) Limited.

September 2002

  • Due to the Dennis Darts not being taxed until September. Their registration numbers are not YX02 LXE to YX02 LXH but they are YY52 KXJ to YY52 KXM.
  • 25th - Most of the new Volvo double deck vehicles are here. Their registrations are YY52 LCK-LCP, &YY52 LCT-LCU and their fleet numbers are 670-677.
  • 23rd - Mini bus 440 and Bristol Vrt's numbers 721 & 779 have been sold to PVS (Barnsley) Limited.
  • 22nd - The Autumn Shades Rally will be held at Deans Garden Centre, Seamer Road, Scarborough. There is expected to be between 200 and 250 vintage vehicles of all types. EYMS will be running a free shuttle bus (bus 202) between the Spa roundabout and the Rally. Bus 644 will be there.
  • 8th, in addition to the fleet list for 1st September bus 448 will move from Bridlington to Hull and bus 440 will be delicenced.
  • Leyland Tiger (B114 GRR) has been given the fleet number 30 and allocated to Hornsea depot.

August 2002

  • A second hand Leyland Tiger has been bought. Its registration number is B114 GRR and its fleet number is still to be decided.
  • Two Leyland Tigers, fleet numbers 301 (F301 JNC) and 302 (F302 JNC) will be transferred from Finglands this month.
  • 16th, the final two Dennis Darts have arrived. Their fleet numbers are 493 and 494, and their registration numbers are YX02 LXG and YX02 LXH.
  • 14th, two of the four Dennis Darts due this month have arrived. Their fleet numbers are 491 and 492, and their registration numbers are YX02 LXE and YX02 LXF.

July 2002

  • 25th, the final 3 MAN Alexander single deck buses have arrived. They are numbers 321, 325 and 328. All have been allocated to Hull.
  • 25th, Optare Excels number 277 (P277 NRH) and 278 (R278 EKH) have been sold to Neoplan UK Ltd.
  • 15th, 3 more of the MAN Alexander single deck buses have arrived. They are numbers 326, 327 and 329. All have been allocated to Hull.
  • 15th, Optare Excels number 275 (P275 NRH), 280 (R280 EKH) and 281 (R281 EKH) have been sold to Neoplan UK Ltd.
  • Coach 64 is now registered A14 EYC.

  • 2nd, Optare Excels number 273 (P273 NRH) and 276 (P276 NRH) have been sold to Neoplan UK Ltd.
  • 1st, Finglands Volvo B10M dual purpose buses 1422 and 1423 (M422 RRN and M423 RRN) have been transferred to Hull depot and renumbered 222 and 223.
  • 1st, 4 of the MAN Alexander single deck buses have arrived. They are numbers 320, 322,323 and 324. All have been allocated to Hull along with 330.
  • Mercedes minibus 438 (F438 GAT)  has been sold to PVS (Barnsley) Ltd.
  • The MAN Alexander demonstrator vehicle (ex fleet 103) has now been purchased by  EYMS. Its registration number is still WU51 LBE but its fleet number has been changed to 330.

  • Bristol VRT's 522 (WKH 522X) and 775 (XAK 903T) have been sold to PVS (Barnsley) Ltd.
  • EYMS is backing England in the World Cup. The MAN Alexander demonstrator has been fitted with red bands to make the England flag on both sides and the rear.
  • There are 10 MAN Alexander single deck vehicles on order due to arrive shortly. Their registration numbers are YX02 LFK to LFU (with no Q) and their fleet numbers are 320 to 329.
  • There are 4 Dennis Dart SLF's on order due to arrive shortly. Their registration numbers are YX02 LXE/F/G/H and their fleet numbers are 491/2/3/4.
  • There is a MAN Alexander demonstrator vehicle with EYMS for a short while. Its registration number is WU51 LBE and its fleet number is 103.

April 2002

  • April 26th, EYMS had the chance to look at the new Dennis Enviro300 single deck bus for a few hours. This particular model is 12.5 metres long.
  • April 22nd, the new National Express coach has arrived. It is a Volvo B12M, its registration is YX02 JFY and its fleet number is 46.
  • A second hand Leyland Tiger has been bought. Its registration number is E266 KEF and its fleet number is 29.
  • BBC Radio Humberside are using the EYMS Hull garage to store their new bus.

  • Bus 890 (Leyland Atlantean AVK 177V) has been converted to an open-top bus for the Scarborough seafront service.
  • Vintage coach 99 (DV7890) has been sold.
  • Minibus 491 (acquired with Frodingham Coaches) has been converted to a travel promotion vehicle and renumbered 8851.

  • Two new Mercedes Varios have arrived. Their fleet numbers are 418 and 419 and their registration numbers are YX51 MUO and YX51 MUP.
  • Coach 92 is now registered A20 EYC.

  • Bus 889 (leyland Atlantean VFT 189T) has been converted to an open-top bus for the Scarborough seafront service.

  • Fleet 917 has had its dateless registration removed for Finglands coach 360. Its new registration is SDC 138H.
  • Vehicle 255 (IIL 2155) the Leyland National single deck has been converted to a training vehicle and renumbered 9909.
  • Eight new Volvo B7TL double deck vehicles should be arriving soon. Their fleet numbers will be 662 - 669 and their registrations will be YX51 AYA - YX51 AYH.
  • Three new Volvo B10M coaches have arrived. Their fleet numbers are 47 - 49 and their registrations are YX51 AXM - YX51 AXO.

  • Open top Bristol VRT fleet 837 (DRB 307H) has been sold to PVS (Barnsley) Ltd.

  • Leyland Atlantean fleet 918 (NJI 1251) has been sold to PVS (Barnsley) Ltd.
  • The two Bristol training vehicles (9902 - AHN 611M and 9904 - AFB 586V) have been sold to Carl Ireland.
  • The open-top Routemasters (812, 816, 817 and 819) are now all delicenced possibly for the last time after their retirement announcement. From next season conventional open-top buses will be used on the 109 service.

  • The four second hand Leyland Tigers have been allocated the fleet numbers 32 (G432 MWU) to 35 (G435 MWU).
  • A second hand Volvo B10M coach has been bought. The registration is B192 CGA and it has been allocated fleet number 36.

  • The new National Express coach has arrived. Fleet number 45, registration Y445 XAT.
  • Four second hand Leyland Tigers have been bought. The registrations are G432 MWU to G435 MWU. They have yet to be allocated fleet numbers.
  • Three second hand Optare Prisma's have been bought. They are fleet numbers 247-249 (Registration P151 KSM to P153 KSM) and are currently delicenced.
  • Coach 362 is now registered A8 EYC.
  • Coach 87 is now named "Mrs Marjorie Graham" after the sale of coach 81.
  • Coach 81 (FAZ 2781) has been sold to Direct Coach Sales.
  • Bus 407 has been relicenced at Scarborough for the summer.

  • Bus 610 has been specially painted to celebrate 75 years of EYMS service. The left side (passenger entrance) of the bus is in modern EYMS livery and the right side (drivers side) is in original EYMS livery.
  • Coach 61 has been repainted from National Express livery into East Yorkshire Coaches livery.
  • Bus 27 (CRH 182X) has been sold to PVS (Barnsley) Limited.

  • Coach 359 (HIL 7746) and 362 (AHZ 2162) have been transferred from the Finglands fleet to East Yorkshire.
  • Bus 200 has been converted to a training vehicle and is now numbered 9907.

  • Bus 236 (PNW 336W) has been sold to Direct Coach Sales.
  • On February 8th, 9th and 10th to celebrate 45 years of the Routemaster and 75 years of EYMS bus 808 will be running on the 56 service from 9am to 6pm.

  • Bus 570 has been transferred to Anlaby Road and 573 sent to Pocklington in its place.

  • The Dennis Trident's have arrived. Their registrations are, 660 = 546 EYB, and 661 = 46 EYB. Coach 5 and 6 have changed their registrations to (5 = A413 TAG and 6 = A415 TAG).
  • 7th, another second hand coach has just arrived at our Anlaby Road depot. It is a Volvo B10M Vanhool registration P555 GSM fleet number 90. More details in the fleet list.
  • Demo bus V493 NOH has been returned after loan.
  • The following buses are now delicenced for sale: 195,198,522,526,708,725,776 and 787. This is due to fleet replacement in August.
  • Bus 789 (MWG 939X) sold to PVS (Barnsley) Limited.

  • A second hand coach has just been bought. It is fleet number 89, its registration is L630 PSF and it is a Volvo B10M.
  • Volvo B6BLE registration V493 NOH is a demo bus based at our Hull depot. It is on loan for about one week.
  • Bus 530,532,533,534,536 and 537 have had their coach style seats removed and normal seats put in place. This has increased the seating capacity to 77 (76 on 537) from 70.
  • Bus 658 and 659 (Volvo B7L LWB) have been delivered and are in our garage ready for licencing.
  • Finglands bus 1758 (Leyland Olympian JTY 404X) transferred to Hull depot and renumbered 545.
  • Bus 466 returned from repair and back in service at Anlaby Road.
  • Bus 199 (MIJ 999) sold to Scarborough Star Lights.

June 2000

  • Bus 250 and 251 have gone to Scarborough to do the Park and Ride.
  • New wheelchair ramps are being fitted to the new Volvo single deck buses, the buses will then be painted into EYMS colours.

May 2000

  • May 25th, bus 466 in for repair. Bus 442 will be used as cover (bus 443 being allocated to Withernsea Depot).
  • May 24th, 3 of the new Volvo single deck buses have arrived.
  • The new Volvo B10BLE low floor single deck buses with Alexander bodies will have 44 seats. Their fleet numbers will be 308 to 317. Their registrations are W408 JAT - W417 JAT with the exception of bus 310 which will be W401 JAT.
  • May 20th, coach 59 and 60 transferred to Finglands as a loan to cover National Express work during the summer.
  • May 12th, bus 464 and 465 returned to service after repair.
  • An order has been placed for 10 new Volvo B10BLE Low floor single deck buses with Alexander bodies. These are expected by the end of May.

April 2000

  • April 28th, bus 442 and 443 relicenced and back at our Hull depot as cover for the repair of bus 464 and 465.
  • April 17th, bus 420/423/424/426 (F420/423/424/426 GAT) sold to PVS (Barnsley) Ltd.
  • April 17th, bus 421/422/427/431 (F421/422/427/431 GAT) sold to North East Bus Breakers of County Durham.
  • April 17th, bus 425 and 430 (F425/430 GAT) sold to Harrisons Coaches of Lancashire.
  • April 17th, the remaining Dennis Pointer Darts are in service at our Scarborough depot bringing wheelchair access to the majority of local town services. Their registrations are W467 UAG to W481 UAG (fleet 467 - 481) with the exception of fleet 470 which is W70 EYM and 480 which is W80 EYM.
  • Two vehicles from the new batch of Dennis Pointer Darts have arrived early this month and have been allocated to our Hull depot. They have replaced bus 440 and 451 which have been allocated to our Beverley depot to replace bus 428 and 429 (F428/429 GAT) which have been sold to PVS (Barnsley) Ltd. The registrations will be W465 UAG and W466 UAG (fleet 465 - 466).
  • April 1st, bus 655 to 657 have been allocated to our Scarborough depot to replace 725, 779 and 799.

March 2000

  • March 1st, 4 Dennis Pointer Darts on the road at our Hull depot. They have 29 seats and Plaxton bodies. Their registrations are W461 UAG to W464 UAG.
  • March 1st, Coach 44 on the road. It is a Plaxton bodied Volvo Expressliner (Rapide specification) and the registration is W844 SKH.
  • Minibus T471 HNH returned to supplier after loan to EYMS at our Hornsea depot.

December 1999

  • Six new National Express coaches delivered this week (19-25th Dec) to replace the Scania coaches which have been used on National Express for approximately five years. They are Plaxton bodied Volvo Expressliners and their registrations are V838 JAT - V843 JAT.
  • Bristol VRT fleet number 836 converted to a tree lopping vehicle in the ancillary fleet. Now fleet number 8833.

November 1999

  • Minibus T471 HNH on loan to EYMS at our Hornsea depot.
  • Coach 32 now registered D32 OKH
