Job Description:

We’re currently recruiting for a Holiday Courier to escort holidays in the East Yorkshire Coaches 2019 tour programme.

East Yorkshire Coaches’ tour programme features a range of destinations across the UK.  You will travel on some of East Yorkshire Coaches’ longer tours (5-6 days in length) and stay with the group throughout the length of the tour, with up to a total of 36 days away from April to October 2019.

As well as travelling by coach on holidays across the country, you will be required to undertake pre-holiday research, with a mix of work at home and in our offices in Hull.  This will involve contacting local Tourist Information Centres for information leaflets, maps and any further relevant information, online research, as well as any other areas where necessary.  This is to ensure you have a full understanding of the tour itinerary and are able to give added value for passengers’ holidays.

While travelling on the journey to destinations, you will be required to ensure holidaymakers are comfortable, as well as serving refreshments.  Throughout each tour you will be working with one of our experienced coach drivers whose role is to ensure passenger safety and, prior to the tour, a briefing session will be held to introduce you to your driver.

You must have great customer service skills and be confident in speaking in front of a large group of people on a microphone.  You must also be excellent at speaking with holidaymakers on a one-to-one basis and be calm when dealing with any issues which may occur.  You must be smart and professional and be prepared to work away from home for 5 to 6 days at a time.

You’ll be paid £8.21 per hour and be given the opportunity to visit a variety of destinations, with ample free time in each to explore everything on offer.  On all tours, accommodation is included to the same standard of hotel as the rest of the group, along with breakfast and evening meals.
